• Uploaded Images: Not retained. Your photos exist only in memory while your comparison runs and are discarded as soon as it finishes.
• Biometric Identifiers: None are created or retained. CaraComp compares two photos directly and does not generate a stored face template or faceprint.
• Comparison Results: Not retained. Results are shown to you in your browser and are not saved to your account — there is no results history, so please download or screenshot your report before leaving the page.
• Account Information: Retained while your account is active
• After Account Deletion: Personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where required by law

7. Cookies and Analytics

We use a small number of third-party analytics, advertising, and session-recording tools to understand how visitors use caracomp.com and to measure marketing performance. None of these load, and none of them set a cookie or send data about you, until you click “Accept” on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you click “Reject,” or close the banner without choosing, they stay off.

• Google Analytics (GA4): Measures page views and on-site actions like button clicks and checkout starts, so we know which pages and features are working.
• Meta Pixel: Measures the results of our Facebook/Instagram advertising.
• TikTok Pixel: Measures the results of our TikTok advertising.
• Microsoft Clarity: Records anonymized on-site session behavior (clicks, scrolling) to help us find and fix usability problems.
• Clicky: A secondary analytics tool measuring page views and traffic sources.
• Partnero: Tracks affiliate/referral links so we can credit and pay partners who refer customers to us.

Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage and a first-party cookie) for about 12 months, after which we’ll ask again. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of any page, which reopens the banner.

This does not affect Chargebee (which processes your payment) or Clerk (which manages sign-in) — those are required for the service to function and are not analytics or advertising tools.

Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-9526795404980514) serves the ads you see on caracomp.com and uses advertising cookies to do so. Unlike the tools listed above, the AdSense script itself loads for every visitor so the page can display ads — it is not part of the cookie banner gate. What the banner does control is personalization: if you are visiting from California or the EU/EEA/UK, ads are served non-personalized (via Google’s Consent Mode, with ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization defaulted to denied) until you click “Accept.” Once you accept, or if you are visiting from elsewhere, ads may be personalized as normal. You can also opt out of personalized advertising directly through Google at adssettings.google.com.
